Immunization is key to the Mankind saving Millions of lives every year. More than 20 life-threatening diseases can now be prevented by immunization. Vaccines are widely seen as critical for addressing emerging infectious diseases by containing or limiting outbreaks of infectious diseases.

Innovative ways are being found to distribute and administer vaccines and to improve immunization services. Digital tools, needle-free techniques for vaccine administration and more robust vaccine storage and supply chains to ensure a functional end to end immunization Supply chain system.

2/3rd of vaccines commonly administered today are freeze-sensitive, and they need to be strictly maintained between 2 – 8°C. In conventional last mile delivery of Vaccines, improper handling and lack of compliance during preconditioning of ice packs might result in freezing of vaccines and thus loss of potency. Studies suggest that 30% of the vaccines loose potency on account of improper temperature storage conditions.

To address the issue of vaccine freezing during last mile delivery GKS has designed and developed next generation Freeze Free Vaccine carriers and Cold Boxes as per WHO PQS Standards.
